1. Don’t get pressured into anything. If you feel like the person your dealing with is stearing you in the wrong direction – don’t deal with them.
2. Your agent should be asking you questions about what type of coverage is best for you. There are many companies out there that use high pressure sales tactics to fool you into a plan with inferior coverage.
3. Deal with somebody who can place you with the best companies for your area. Companies rates vary by location and/or zip code. A company may have great rates in Texas but not in Michigan.
4. If they are pressing to meet one on one beware. The most efficient agents prefer to do business over the phone or online. It saves time and money for both the agent and the customer.
5. Your agent should keep up with the latest trends and analyze your situation once a year to make sure you are getting the best coverage at the best price.

I was online shopping for health insurance for me and my husband. I went to numerous websites and filled out quote forms promising instant quotes.
